In celebration of Earth Day 2024, the EP Rock Parent Group is so excited to be able to introduce a school-wide Recycling Contest. Each classroom will receive a corrugated recycling bin where students can recycle the following: Markers Permanent/Markers, Highlighters, Pens and Mechanical Pencils.
On Friday, April 19th we will be collecting and weighing each classroom's recyclables. There will be a winner for each Grade level, the class with the most recyclables will win a special prize! Winners will be announced on the Rock Report on Earth Day, April 22nd.
Encourage your students to bring items from home to recycle too! All of the items collected will be sent to Terracycle using one of their Zero Waste Boxes, where all of the items will be recycled! To learn more about Terracycle, visit www.terracycle.com.
